Portfolio Projects

     As a student of Zaman University, I have to join in a portfolio project that I interested in and would work hard for that project. Therefore, in this prep school period I have to join four portfolios projects. The four portfolio projects that I joined are English Literature, The News, Famous People, and Blog.

     

     My first project is English Literature’s portfolio, it all about English, how can I learn to write, listen, and read English. The instructor that I have been working with was Mr. Lance Chase, from United State of America. I remembered that I had to write an essay that asking eights question and a final presentation inside the class. The eights question asking about, my background of English learning, my old school, activities, what I like about the activities, what I dislike about the activities, my strategies of learning English, what types of learner am I and why. These eights question in the final presentation made me received 98%. I aim 100% when I doing anything but I feel satisfy with this score as I had done it perfectly but there are some mistake that I made in the Powerpoint. One remarkable thing is that when I present about my strategies, it draw the attention of all the people inside the classroom because my strategy of learning English is reading the Bible, instead of reading other books I read Holy Bible while I’m not a Christian.    

     Second portfolio is The News; I would describe it as the hard task that I have involved in all the projects. As I have to research about the news every week and present it at conference hall with my Powerpoint design about the topic that I choose. Moreover I received many hard questions from the audiences especially my instructor, Mr. Terence Mallon. He always asked a hard question at the end of the presentation, but it helped me to be well preparing before I presented my topics. On the other hands, I am nervous when I was standing alone on the stage of the conference hall and lecture about the news that I have chose. First topic that I choose is BRICS, the association of five countries. 

Second topic is about Facebook, risk or useful. I explain the term of use of Facebook and several law suits that people have done wrong by post something on Facebook, in this topic I also recommend other students to choose their privacy setting, and the term of uses.     

Third week, I talk about Facebook but the title: "Is Facebook Worth $50billion?" In this topic, I had answer the question of my own title and the answer is yes, because Facebook has support from Goldmanch Sachs Bank, and Digital Sky Technology, the biggest investor in Russia. This is the best title that I had done.  

Fourth week, I present about China and raise the title as, "China: Victory without War". In this topic I mention the strategy of the government of this country have. 

The week after I wrote about the suicide bombed at Russia's International Airport. 

The sixth week, I present about world economic forum, I play a video about something inside the world economic forum. 

The final week, I don't have the chance to choose the topic, but my instructor will do for every students. Then final my topic is about a journalist in Vietnam, and he died because of burning from chemical. 

By these seven topics, I have receive 100%, I feel it is fair if compare to what I had done for these seven weeks. 

     

     Third project, the Famous People Project. In this project I work with Mr. T. K. First of all, I though it was the easy project but later I found it hard when Mr. Oudom, taught us about Citation, and give reference of the articles that we take from the internet. Moreover, I have to present about two famous people that we know and like about them. I also explain about the great contribution of those people to the world. First person that I present is, King Suryavarman II. 

Second person that I present, Benjamin Franklin. 

In this project, I receive only 75%. I can't say for sure why I receive only this much, finally I decide that point is not real matter. The real matter is that I really put my hard to do my project, and I work hard for it. For this project, maybe I did wrong in some place. 

     Finally, the final project that I going to work is Blogging with Mr. James. I feel interested in this project after I talk with him about his portfolio in this final quarter. I think I'm also the first person that sign up in this portfolio. Some people think it is easy, and many students have sign up in this project. I can tell that this project is not easy like what you think, don't under estimate of the project. We have to write and comment weekly, it's not only for Zaman University but it is world wide. Consequently, I decide to link this  to my Facebook's profile information so that all my friend on Facebook can see my blog. This is my first article and I can tell that every body that I mean it, I do it seriously and carefully as I already prepare for this project.  

     To sum up, I just want to clarify that these four project are helping me to my future. As I have work with four very differences instructors. All of them have there way of teaching, moreover they can represent as four different audiences that I have show to them, my project. The differences that they have, help to my  knowledge as finally I realize that we have to do thing carefully because our audiences or instructor are judge on us.
