Bible and Me

I have a book called Bible or Holy Bible. Some of my friends think it is ridiculous because I’m not a Christian. Many friends still suspect and keep asking me, are you a Christian? The answer is no. The next sentence that I want to continue is I’m not a Christian that read Bible. Now I want to talk about what is bible, and why I read it.

According to Christian, they believe Bible is the Holy Scripture or the words of God to people from the day that God created the earth. The holy bible divided into two parts, The Old Testament and The New Testament. The Old Testament had 39 difference books, and The New Testament had 27 difference books. Therefore, the whole Bible had 66 books differently that refer to God. The actual matter is the story behind the mystery book, at first Bible is in Hebrew language. It was forbidden to translate into English or other languages by pope. In history, there are many people tried to translate the Scripture to English so that more people can read and understand by themselves. However, some people got killed because of translating the bible such as John Huss and William Tyndale. The suffer persecution does not threaten people from translating the words of God into English; instead, it’s inspired people to translated this book into English.    

Reason that I read this book first is just to learning English. I’m poor in English, and my teacher suggested that I should read the Holy Scripture. I did not know about the Holy Scripture at the time. However, I didn’t hesitate to buy bible. Moreover, I bought two books of bible, in Khmer language and English. In recently, I found the interested of this book because some of the topic taught us to have faith in God. At this point, it also taught us to have faith in others too. Moreover, the meaning of this book is to keep us to be simple and humble of what we have. Being proud, arrogant or haughty just jeopardize a friendship, or a relationship that we ever build. So far, I have learned these things from the black and mysterious book that some people think I shouldn’t read it.    

To wrap up, the black and mysterious book is the book of knowledge, and is full of wise advices. I don’t think that we have to be a Christian to read this book as I found it a good book to read.
